New house, new job, new painting!
Well, it's been a while.
In the summer we moved house, back to the beautiful Lake District. I started a new full time job, which meant not much time for painting.
A summer of exploring, and a camera full of gorgeous photos, some of which I'll share here later. Long walks, flower spotting, birdwatching...inspiration at every turn!
And now the evenings have drawn in, it's dark when I get home from work, and I've started painting again. Here is my latest painting, sleepy snipe.
Snipe - a small wading bird, exquisitely patterned and perfectly camouflaged. I was a little worried half way through painting this that the birds would be too camouflaged against the background - now I like how they peep out between the grasses.
