It's time to send your art out into the world
Are you creative? Maybe you don’t think of yourself as an artist, but perhaps you’ve got one or two sketches that you are quite pleased with, or you’ve taken some photos that you like. Or you’ve made some beautiful quilts, or pots or sculptures. Why not take this opportunity to share images of your art? It can be scary, the first time you actually produce printed images of your work, and start to show them to people. You might wonder if your art is good enough to share.
That’s why Kat Sloma, a photographer from the US, created ‘Liberate Your Art’, to encourage people to get their art out into the world.
Liberate Your Art is a postcard swap, an opportunity for artists from all around the world to exchange art. It’s also a community, a place to connect with other creative people.
I produced the first ever printed postcards of my art so that I could take part in Liberate Your Art three years ago. I also set up this blog so I could take join in the Liberate Your Art blog hop. I’ve been inspired by the postcards I’ve received, and the artists blogs and websites I’ve visited as part of the project. And it is lovely to get positive comments about my own art and blog!
Whether you are an experienced artist, or you are just starting out, have a look at the Liberate Your Art website for more information and for detailed instructions of how to take part.
