Thanks for visiting my website. I paint vibrant, unique images of wildlife, and I write about my art, creativity & nature. I hope you enjoy my work!
Adder on a Peat Bog
Inspired by the peat bogs of South Cumbria.
Among the apple blossom
A flock of long tailed tits among the apple blossom.
Black Oystercatchers at Farewell Spit, New Zealand
Yellow tailed black cockatoos
The elusive bittern, perfectly camoflagued in it's reedbed home.
Gang Gang Cockatoo
This is a male gang-gang cockatoo. They live in the forests of south east Australia. I've only seen them a couple of times - very characterful birds.
This is the first silk painting I did. After this one, I was hooked!
Long Tailed Tits
Waiting for lunch
Great Crested Newt
This might seem like an unusual subject for a painting, but I just love newts!
In this painting, you catch a glimpse of a water rail as it ventures out into the open. They are usually hard to spot, because they are so well camoflagued in the reeds.
Waxwings in Autumn
Winter visitors to the UK, these birds are often seen feeding on rowan berries. They are not seen every winter, so it's always exciting when it's a waxwing year!
